Referrals & partners
Anyone can refer a friend - no application, no minimum plan. Businesses and individuals who want to refer customers at scale can apply for a paid partner tier instead.
Your referral link
Settings > Plan & Billing has a "Refer a friend" card with your personal link. Share it however you like - social, email, a blog post. Clicking it starts a 30-day window: if the person signs up and then upgrades to a paid plan within that window, the referral counts.
- They get 20% off their first month.
- You get a month of Plus in credit.
Credits show up as a running balance on the same card. They're informational for now - reach out to support if you'd like an existing balance applied to an upcoming invoice by hand.
The partner program
Affiliate and Agency are paid tiers for anyone referring customers regularly - a content creator, a consultancy, an agency reselling access. Applying needs a Plus plan or above; apply from the same "Refer a friend" card.
| Tier | Commission | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Affiliate | 20% of every payment | First 12 months of each referral |
| Agency | 30% of every payment | Ongoing, no cap |
Applications are reviewed by hand, not auto-approved. Once approved, your commission is calculated automatically every time a customer you referred pays, and a monthly statement is available on request.
Keeping it fair
A referral is only credited or commissioned once it passes a few basic checks:
- You can't refer yourself.
- The same payment card can't be used to fake a referral between two accounts.
- An unusual burst of sign-ups through one link is flagged for a manual look before anything pays out.
A flagged referral still appears in your stats so nothing silently disappears - it's simply held back from credit until reviewed.
