Finder is a real local file browser, built on the browser's File System Access API. You grant it one folder at a time, and from then on every file you open and every change you save goes straight to disk through a handle the browser itself holds.
Nothing is copied to a server first. It is the same files your other apps and your terminal already see, browsed the way a native file manager would let you.
Revoke access at any time from the browser's own permission control, and reconnect the same folder later without losing anything - Finder never keeps a second copy of your files anywhere else to work.

- Grants access to a real folder on your device
